The United Nations has pronounced this year’s floods in Bangladesh, India and Nepal as the worst in living memory. The GlobalWorks Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) public charity is seeking your donation to assist the flood affected victims in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is an impoverished nation in South Asia with a population of over 150 million. About 10 million people in Bangladesh have lost their homes, hundreds of lives have been claimed, and thousands are suffering from diseases brought on by the floods. In some places, where waters are as deep as ten feet, families are struggling to survive with little access to any of the basic necessities such as clean water, food and shelter. Your donations will be critical in ensuring that the victims are able to purchase food supplies and medical care and rebuild their houses. GlobalWorks Foundation will also grant a portion of the funding to organizations which will be working over the coming months to relocate citizens from the low-lying areas of the Ganges River Delta which are prone to frequent flooding.
